About me

Just who am I? I'll put this in the third-person so that it appears like someone else wrote it and will seem less biased...

Tyler Beason is currently a graduate student at Bradley University studying Quantitative Finance. He graduated with magna cum laude honors in 2014 with undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Finance. During his undergraduate studies, he held two internships and was President of the Bradley Chapter of the Financial Management Association. During his senior year, he won two awards at the Bradley Research Expo. He was a recipient of the Kalman Goldberg Award, which is awarded to the best graduates of the Foster College of Business Administration each year, and was awarded Outstanding Graduate in Quantitative Methods.

Tyler has aspirations of getting his PhD in Finance and becoming a college professor. His research interests are embodied by the very content of this blog: finance through the lens of mathematics and statistics. Tyler is currently doing research in financial markets using agent-based modeling, equilibrium statistical mechanics, and Bayesian methods.

Yea I totally didn't write that myself...
